Janie Crow Norwegian Wood Knitted Cushion Pattern

This A4 booklet guides you through every step of how to design and create this fabulous cushion cover. Its glossy pages are full of easy to follow instructions and photos so you can make your own beautiful creation. The pattern includes written and charted instructions in UK terminology.

Jane designed this hand knitted fairisle cushion cover a few years ago for a trip she tutored on a cruise ship around the coast of Norway. Inspired by traditional Norwegian patterns and added beads to areas to create more interest.

The cushion is made in 3 pieces and is not worked in the round.

Yarn used:

Rowan Felted Tweed DK 50% Merino wool 25% Alpaca 25% viscose. Approximate length 175m (191yds).

1 x Grey

1 x Green

Rowan Pure Wool DK 100% wool. Approximate length 130m (142yds).

1 x Cream

1 x Pink

1 x Black

1 x Green

Rowan Tweed DK 100% wool. Approximate length 118m (129yds).

3.25mm (US-3) & 4.00mm (US-6) Knitting needles.

30cm Cushion pad.

Fine sewing needle for threading beads.

Yarn needle.

Finished cover size - Approximately 31cm (12 1/4in) x 31cm (21 1/4in).
