A little Aero Needles History: Aero knitting needles were a household brand produced by historic British needle making firm Abel Morrall Ltd, based in Redditch, England. They were famous for their smooth shafts and distinctive Aero marked heads. Following factory rebuilding after a fire in 1979, Abel Morrall Ltd officially changed its name to Aero Needles Group Ltd. The brand was acquired by Coats Paton (part of Needle Industries) in 1984, and later fully absorbed under the Milward Industries umbrella in 1989. Aero needles have been out of production for decades now, but they remain some of the best needles ever produced.
